Skip to content The Red Squirrel Children’s Nursery and award-winning Forest Camp are set within the beautiful grounds of West Green Park on the outskirts of Dundee. The purpose-built nursery has five bright and welcoming rooms, each thoughtfully designed to support children’s individual ages and stages of development. Both indoors and outdoors, every area of the nursery has been carefully planned and richly resourced to provide inspiring spaces and meaningful experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Monday to Friday from 7:30 am until 6 pm - 51 weeks of the year.
An insight into your child’s learning journey at nursery. Our secure online Learning Journals build a connection between home and nursery sharing significant learning and milestones.
We have a well-established and effective key worker approach ensuring we are responsive to the individual needs of every child to support their wellbeing.
All of our dishes are prepared onsite by our Chef using fresh seasonal ingredients. Meals include a morning snack, two-course lunch and high tea in the afternoon.
We strongly believe in the benefits of outdoor learning and allow children to experience the wonder of nature while learning in an exciting, inspirational and rewarding environment. All our children from our baby room up to our preschool can utilise and benefit from the vast learning opportunities that our Forest School camp has to offer.

Our Award-Winning Outdoor Classroom, Forest Camp is located adjacent to our Nursery. The camp has been thoughtfully outdoor learning and play. The camp includes sheltered dining areas, toilets, hand-washing facilities, and quiet covered spaces for moments of rest and reflection.
Here, children immerse themselves in the natural world — climbing trees, building dens, creating art from natural resources, and discovering the wildlife around them. They take part in fire-lighting and outdoor cooking sessions, learn to use real tools safely, and work together on practical tasks that build resilience, problem-solving, and confidence. With mud kitchens, bug-hunting adventures, storytelling corners, and climbing areas, every day is an opportunity to create memories and experiences that will stay with children for years to come.
Our passionate team are specially trained in outdoor and nature-based learning, giving children the chance to experience thrilling adventures, ignite their creativity, and develop real-world skills — all within a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.
